KEITH THORN
Author | Designer | Creative | Aikido Practitioner
Guest Intro:
Keith Thorn is an author, designer, and lifelong creative whose work blends storytelling, reflection, and personal growth. After decades in design, illustration, and web work, he shifted into writing with a deeper purpose: to share ideas that outlast him and help others navigate life with more honesty, gratitude, and intention. He has authored 15 books spanning memoir, martial arts, faith, second-half-of-life reflections, and stories inspired by Port Isabel and South Padre Island.
At the heart of Keith’s philosophy is a simple but powerful motto he shares with his wife Melody: “make the best of the rest.” That mindset shapes both his writing and his outlook on aging, purpose, healing, and starting again. In this conversation, Keith opens up about creativity, Aikido, legacy, unmasking, gratitude, and what it means to live more truthfully in the present.
